Roskilde Rowing Club

About Roskilde Rowing Club

Founded in 1890, Roskilde Rowing Club is the oldest sports club in Roskilde. With a total of 500 members between 13 and 70+ years it is the third largest rowing club in Denmark.

Throughout the years Roskilde Rowing Club has achieved fine results at national and international competitions. A Roskilde Rowing Club team (2+) won Olympic gold in 1948, and one of our rowers took part in the Olympics in Sydney 2000.

The beautiful Roskilde Fjord is excellent for rowing, and we are happy to lend boats to members of other rowing clubs.

A life jacket for each rower is mandatory when rowing our boats. You must bring your own life jacket.

Roskilde Rowing Club has no dedicated guest rooms. You may spread your air mattress and sleeping bag on the floor or pitch your tent on the lawn. You may use our kitchen for cooking. If you want a more luxurious accomodation we recommend Roskilde's new youth hostel on the harbour.
